ok, so i have JVT headers and test pipes. I just started bolting things up and noticed that the bolt and bracket on the steering arm u joint hits the head pipe. How do i fix this problem?
I hvae thought about using a flat punch and denting some clearance into the header. i've tried moving it all around. No go on fitment.
Anyone else have problems? how did you fix it?

i emailed JVT with pictures, still no response. Oh well, they were cheapo's just to get be by right now anyways. Just sucks i had to spent an extra hour smacking the header with a flat punch for clearance.

Junk Value Technologies??? lol
I guess they haven't been out long. They do knock off headers. I've never heard of them before until i saw that one guy dyno them. They were cheap and showed good flow so i went with them.
They will serve their purpose for me right now. I put the rest of my money into quality parts for my supercharger.

I had the same problem with my Ichiba headers. They trimmed the bolt as much as possible, they heat bent the headers. It doesn't hit as much anymore but it still does when I turn and the engine is leaning to the left. I replaced the headers with some Tomei V2.

By the way here they are after heat wrap and siliconed sealed. They don't look that nice anymore but, this should help out a lot since my car is running real hot with the ichiba headers. It took forever to wrap, nearly four hours, and with millions of fiberglass shards all over the body. Those ridiculous bends the tomei has, makes it impossible to wrap well. I can see why they don't recommend wrapping them, since it's so difficult.
