it's roughly half the price of the True Flow (about $30 as opposed to $60) which has received some enthusiastic comments from a few guys on this site.
Has anyone tried it? Does it fit correctly?

Yeah, I have been running it for about 5 months now. It seems to run fine. I can hear that intake sucking sound but, it is not as pronounced as the Injen cai. I have not dynoed it but, there is a bit of a difference. I have used the Amsoil air filter in all my vehicles with no problems.The only other mod is the Borla Td exhaust. Try it for yourself...

 

I've had the Amsoil on my G35 since January with no issues.

 

I recently installed a true flow, seems ok. Didn't know about the amsoil.
