Default AMK Headers.

Well guys I bought a set of AMK brand headers from an Ebay supplier, I just wanted to give you guys a few reviews if your like me on a budget/ decent build. Well what can i say ?? header quality is ok is almost like any other Ebay brand out there in fact these had a minor modification done to one of the bolt holes to fit back on the engine, other than that fitment was spot on with no rubbing or hitting the steering columm like the Nismo's or Fujitsobo's etcc.. I purchased these for a great price $109.00 shipped, lol. I know is not the best but for now it gives me a bit of a better response with no rasp. I do have the stock cats in place untill i recieve my Berk test pipes this month, so maybe it will change.
here are some pics before install.

so far the sound has been good with a little better response as well.

Nismo fitment issues were rare resolved and so long ago it makes no sense to bring them up. Fuji issues IIRC were mainly wrapped around guys trying to fit JDM right had drive versions to USDM left hand cars, could be wrong, doen's matter anyhow since that's a design I wouldn't touch.

Cool. Follow-up here every 10,000 miles, and let us know how the headers are holding up. Thanks.

I'm still undecided if headers are worth it. How much did installation run you? or better yet how many hours did it take?

^^^ Yeah, the product was not expensive but the LABOR - installation will run you ~$500.00 or few good hours of your own time

Ok well guys, to be honest the installation process sucks a big one!!! If you can like i did have a nice enough mechanic that would do it for you like they did for me and only charged me $200 do it. I highly recommend that instead of trying to do it on your own. Too much crap to take of and put back and etc.... Pay someone to do it, now as performance goes, i cant really tell that much because i just had the Transgo kit put on and i feel that more than anything, the only difference i noticed is that the car pics up faster than usual it does not feel sluggish but that can also be the VBU,lol.

Yo...My buddy got the same headers, and the resonated downpipes, fitment was rite on, plus the sound, is much improved....

Also, if you look at the headers, they are same design, as the DC headers, race pipes, are the same as megan, or topspeeds...lol

Same materials, same welds, improved diameter inlet, outlet specs, *** it...

Why not buy the better brand the first time around knowing that installation is a biatch?? You are just wasting your time and money on this Ebay garbage......

With no before/after dyno, you cannot tell people performance is improved.

Most with bolt-ons think so as well until they go dyno like a stock Z except they're running lean...

I will dyno am just waiting on my test pipes to arrive so i can install them and do everything at once. I will go the Osiris route since i hear is the most trouble free and n/a Z's are getting good results.

Im buying the same headers, taking of my turbo kit and i dont have stock one's so i figured same price as used stock ones just get these. I will post up my results from them as well. I dont care really about performance though im just getting them to get back on the road. Uprev will also be installed with probably an etune. Depending on how my motor build goes i might be using these ebay headers on a vortech setup, i will post back results

Im actually considering coating them for less under hood temps lol
