Default Can I fix the Rasp From test pipes by adding a resonator into my y pipe?

I Cant stand the rasp but love the responsiveness that the test pipes give me has anybody every just added a resonator into the stock y pipe? Did the fix the rasp problem? I'd like to keep the pipes on but the rasp has to go away otherwise the test pipes are going. Advice or other solutions?

I would suggest adding a resonator to an aftermarket y pipe or purchase one that already includes it

I guess I should have just purchased resonated test pipes in the first place. I sadly with a new house don't have alot of cash laying around. So I am looking for a fix to this problem that dosn't cost me an arm and a leg. What do you see as the cons of adding a test pipe into the stock y pipe? I looked at aftermarket y pipes and most seem like they wouldn't lend themselves to being modified for a resonator.
From what I am hearing the resonator will eliminate that awful rasp.

Resonated TP don't work as good as a good resonator later down the exhaust. I've had both setups. Best is 2 resonators on each part of the Y pipe, or a big resonator down the midpipe.

Update:
Havent been able to work on the Z and had some things come up at the house that needed to be addressed.
Anyways I got an answer from dynomax and they suggest using this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-24222/ its alot cheaper and is a muffler not a resonator.
My Question is:
is the SLP worth double the price. I really dont want to have the rasp and I want to ensure I solve the problem , and I certinaly do not want to slow my flow.
lets hear it!

Go with the DYNOMAX, there shouldn't be any difference from either one.
