Default Resonator question.

Man i really hate the rasp on these TP !!!! I am going tomorrow to get a resonator at my local muffler shop installed. I have Headers, intake, exhaust, and TP. Great throttle response and all but jesus the rasp is horrible!! I also have the Stillen Y pipe and it just happens to have a exhaust leak that we saw when the TP were getting installed its right on the part were it connects to the exhaust at the end. Could this be the leak causing that terrible sound? Also my question is were can i put the resonator on the test pipe so the rasp would go away? Any input on this?

why dont you just buy new resonated TP instead of wasting time and money putting a resonator in them

I just got these test pipes , i rather spend a bit of money than spend more money to get the TP out again and try to sell them for cheaper.

Fix the exhaust leak. Or get a MD XYZ Pipe with a built in resonator.

You have looked at the Y-pipe? And where do you intend to put one resonator?

I have the same issue but I don't want to take the TPs off. I'm saving for the Motordyne XYZ pipe but I would like to install a resonator. I'm thinking putting a better resonator in the midpipe (still stock for now) might do the trick for now.

Right now I have:

TurboXS TPs
Greddy SE axleback
Stock Y-pipe (to be replaced by Motordyne some day)
Stock Mid pipe

Any input aside from giving up on TPs?
