AEM CAI watercover?
Hi to all, im about to pull the trigger on buying a 2004 350z that has a AEM cold air intake but i need to be able to drive it out in the rain, i dont want to pass on the sale if there is an enexpensive solution to the exposed air filter near the driers side wheel well, i read they have a bypass valve? also it looks like some electrical is exposed from the missing cover near the air filter. Sorry for the rambling question, thanks for your help!
i have a nismo CAI on mine(pretty sure their the basic same design),
i haven't had any problem driving in the raining
unless your driving through some really rough stuff it shouldn't be a problem
not sure about the electrical stuff

i read that the nismo comes with the bypass valve, is it normal that the panel above the wheel is just gone, compared to the passenger side?

i have a cai installed in my civic and you need to remove the panel above the wheel. if the z is similar then no its not normal that the panel is missing. whoever installed it didn't take the time to reinstall the panel or something.
