Default titek, berk, megan test pipes

Hey I need some input from people with some test pipe knowledge, Im debating those three but I think im gonna have to go with megan, my only problem is the test pipes cracking, how often do the berk and titek pipes crack, I have a tanabe y-pipe, and I keep reading that the tanabe y-pipe cracks the test pipes, I also read that the megan pipes are not that great but they do have a flex part on there so I would think it would help from them cracking...any how some input would help thanks

Im going to say no to titek.

They did a redesign and eliminated all the good attributes. They used to have a 02 bung for a wideband and brackets to support the exhaust. Well now they dont. My buddy just got a set a month ago and the drivers side 02 bung was welded at an angle that puts the oem 02 sensor as the lowest spot under the car.

Ive had my titeks for about two years and the drivers side bracket finally gave way. Other then that they were good quality.

Trust me I searched, im looking on what the guys running them think, from what I read a lot of the guys don't like the quality on megan, my problem is from what I read on here is that a lot of them break with the tanabe y-pipe, they said it puts to much stress on the tp's, but the megan v2 has flex pipes so I would think that helps...is just people keep saying the aren't great quality..and berk I would think would crack too, if they don't crack that easy then berk is what im gonna go with

Dam nice one on the helix ss davidv, but didn't they discontinue those?...and I may just end up going with berk, I was just wondering if the megans were really that crappy, I know *ice* has them and he's happy with them although I think he only has like 3k or 4k, so berks won't crack on me in like 2 months

I have APS testpipes ss testpipes. They include the brackets if you decide to bolt them on. I did not however, bolt the brackets on, 1, cause i don't have the stock brackets, and 2 because I heard the cats crack if they are. But I haven't seen any problems so far with them, and they have been on for well over 6k miles. I've also been 2 the track multiple times, so these have seen race conditions, with no problems yet.

I'd recommend you contact Tony at Fast Intentions (he's on this forum or info@fastintentions.com) - I have the 2.5" True Dual exhaust on my car with HFCs and I just ordered a set of non-resonated TPs from him for use on the track.

I've been very impressed with the build quality and sound of my exhaust so far and I can post here or send you a PM with my impressions of the TPs when I install them early next week.

- Matt

i believe Berks doesnt have a resonated test pipe? not too sure, but i prefer resonated over non-resonated

i think the sound of a resonated test pipe sounds alot better

but the test pipes from fast intentions is CRAZY expensive

I just put on some aftermarket resonated test pipes... the sound is great, the hp gains is awesome but the smell is unbearable... don't know how you guys do it.. it'll be coming off soon and I'll probably get some HFCs

go to the marketplace and look under the Engine in the Vendor classifieds and search for resonated TP's. There is also a vendor that sells the Ichiba tps
