Smile Air Intakes

Hey all. I just bought my 2010 370Z Roadster yesterday and noticed it has to air intakes. I was thinking of putting in 2 K&N filters to get better gas mileage and HP, but then I saw that K&N makes Cold Air Intakes as well. I know the cold air intakes get more HP than just replacing the air filter, but a K&N air filter is like $50 - $70 at the most, but the Cold air intakes are like $350. Since there are 2 of them, it would cost me $100 - $150 ish for 2 Air filters, but around $700 for cold air intakes. Is it really worth it to go for the cold air intakes vs. air filter? Any advice would be great. Thanks...

PS. Should I wait to go through a break in period before making upgrades?
