Default Xo2 vs godspeed vs m2 exhaust

Differences between the three? This thread has absolutely nothing to do with hks so please do not bring up hks exhaust at all. Thanks ahead of time for any helpful input.

Truly, I don't think you'll find a difference outside of bad vs good copy (poor QC). But if I had a choice I'd choose the M2 version.

If you like this exhaust look into the slightly upgraded ARK version. Much higher quality better QC, at a higher price but still substantially lower than HKS. Also, most importantly it includes a X pipe that makes the best sound of this type of exhaust.

I would recommend ARK over others since they are a vendor on the forum and have a good reputation.

I heard godspeed and x02 are ok replicas. I don't know if you would like the x pipe. It brings back the vq note, but i heard it makes the exhaust too quiet.

The X-pipe is a must on these exhausts IMHO, even the HKS could benefit from it. I wouldn't say it brings back the VQ sound as much as I would say it allows the motor to resonate correctly. For example, in H-pipe config, its hard to judge the redline because the engine note doesn't change much it just gets louder. Where as the X-pipes create different pitches. Also the exhaust retains its very loud note with the x-pipe, the only difference is the tone and the interior sound (cuts the drone by at least 40%). I think the replicas need to be a little quieter but its not outrageous.

On downpipes, if you mean the headers, I think they are fine. I have them and think they are based on the DC variant. They don't really add Hp's but they are fine for $50.

Actually, I probably should have guessed that first. Yeah, there should be no problem with that.
