They get this way on topics that have beat to near death X 20. The end is you pic an exhaust for preference of sound and looks really, HP gains will be very similar between the two (single or dual) If you are into function like road racer and drag racers then you will want to factor in weight. To me the 350z came with a single exhaust then made to mimic a dual with a dual exit muffler. I do not prefer the extra weight of the true dual systems so I run a single + single exhaust Greddy Ti-C. Does it look worse to the eye than a dual exit, to me yes, but I am more into function.

Go by weight is my opinion. That is a gain that a dual exhaust will never have.

not to argue here but i'm not familiar when you say 1+1 set up, that's not just a true dual??? another thing is, if you are truly basing it on weight, couldn't you just put an afermarket radio in, lighter rims, driver lose a little lbs, hell even lose the spare in the back...that would be way better than tarnishing dual exit badassness...right???

Well yea if you were to do one of them you might as well do them all i agree with the previous post, The 350 comes with a single exhaust with a dual tip muffler, the true duals like hks for instance is an actual dual exhaust but heavier than a stock single obviously so i guess it really does just come down to looks sound budget and a little bit of wieght, not so much the performance of one exhaust vs the other. Looks sound budget = personal preferance, but wieght might be the biggest factor in my opinion, so i will go with a single exhaust as well as other wieght reduction mods... a lot of little things can add up.

Sorry for the repost i will officailly make it my duty to educate others with this information if i come across another repost like this.

Thanks for everyones help, even the haters :P

True ignorance. If u wanna do all tht just to have a sh1tty "dual" exhaust by all means do it. Btw I have owned hks and sold it a week later for half what I payed just to get it off my car ASAP.

You did say that the z came with Dual exhaust.... regardless of your argument.. its not a dual exhaust.. Its a single exhaust with Dual tips.. Big difference.

OP,
Look into the JIC Ti Single.. Only weighs in at 9lbs!

Ninja Edit: HKS is not a "True Dual".. it has a cross over pipe, which imo, negates the TD claim..

Reality....really, are you really going to have to make people say dual exhaust tips every time the dual exhaust argument comes up...OMG...totally different argument, how about people say true dual, dual-dual, dual, and single exhaust when this comes up, come on man

and i never denied the fact I said the z came with dual exhaust, would you like me to say dual exhaust tips to be politically correct??? i just referred to them the way retailers refer to them, the opinions posted have been with dual outlets and single...stick to it
