Default Manifolds and Instakes and Exhausts, Oh My

After reading and in some cases re-reading threads on this and other Z forums I've come up with an inhale/exhale plan for my '05 Zed (DE) and am curious to hear opinions, advice, recos, etc.

1. Motordyne MREV2 Manifold
2. Motordyne 5/16th Iso Thermal Plenum Spacer
3. Berk HFC's
4. Invidia Gemini TD Catback

One thing that I have a little confusion on is the air intake. To CAI or not to CAI? I would have the Injen CAI on the list if it weren't for this confusion so input from you Pro's here is appreciated.

Let the beating commence...

You talk like a ****ing Disney character...

Anywho, just get a JWT pop charger and replace the air box. An intake isn't worth it, and Injen sucks dick btw.

Otherwise it is what it is. Your list is comparable to pretty much everyone else on this forum.

If you are going that route just stick with all Motordyne, especially on the exhaust. Check out threads on the dual shockwave ti exhaust vs. any other exhaust out there.

Ha! And here I thought I was a little bit Twain and a little bit Shakespeare.

I know there is nothing particularly exotic or special about that list, as you said "it is what it is".

Thanks for the input

It's all good HB, it's all good.

I'm not a fan of the exhaust though, have you looked at other options?

I had looked at the Motordyne Shockwave but had a bit of sticker shock at the 1600 price tag. I could be convinced to go that route if I knew better why the Shockwave (or Borla, etc.) would be that much better.

Word. There are some pretty good threads on it.

Just make sure you like whatever you get, before you buy it. It seems like a lot of guys on here buy an exhaust, hate it, and then go to something different.

The number of possibilities is mind boggling. If there was one "best" all of us would be driving the same 350Z.

Your plan is good.

Decided to just take one step at a time starting w/exhaust:

Motordyne TDX 2
Berk TPs

Dyno'd the car this past weekend so I have a foundation to start from.

http://tap-this.com/dyno.html

Going to be about 3 weeks before the TDX is manufactured and shipped but I'll post dyno (and butt) results after it's installed if any one is interested.

Thanks for all the suggestions/guidance

Fingers X'd...

That's great you did a dyno first. Definitely something that more people should do.

Here you go.

See this link to an independent test on a NON-REVUP engine.
