Smile wire extension

hey i want to install long tub headers in my z....... i think im going to be using the OBX/Megan Racing long tubes... i noticed that the first o2 sensor only reads one of the cylinders and i don't think that it would be very accurate..
So i was thinking of re locating the sensor to the end of the header nexted to the other sensor.. i found this on summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CEI-109008/ it looks like the right cable or it it not the right one .... any help would be great thanks

Wow, I never noticed that the Megan header was set up that way. Looks like the cable would work. There's nowhere else to put it besides where you are suggesting really. You will want to get some of those CEL fix bung extenders, too, for the "after cat" O2 sensors. Let us know how the Megans work out. I almost bought some but lucked out with another deal.

I have those headers and you are correct, it's not a very accurate place to put it. I may just do the same thing you are planning.

will do i think they will sound great a little loud but im ok with that.... i thought that they would be smart and put both o2 sensors at the bottom and include a harness extension ... oh well

I have them with an ebay nismo replica exhaust. The setup sounds great! VERY LITTLE rasp as far as I can tell from the cabin and it wails very nicely at WOT. It's also somewhat quieter in part throttle than the oem one...although it has more drone. No vids nor pics though.
