I'm running Berk Test Pipes right now but re-used the OEM Metal Donut Gasket Ring they tell us to use. Bleh. Wish I didn't. I have some new Berk gasket seals on the way for the header/tp connection. Gonna redo it sometime in the next few days. Nice tuck! I did mine in a matter of minutes.

^^ Nothing wrong with reusing the stock gasket. Those IMO are better than the after market gaskets, since its made out of metal unlike the aftermarket ones which are made of paper/cardboard/cheap stuff. Some, not all.
By the way, what year z do you have? It will depend what test pipes/hfc you can get if you have an hr or de.

By the way, your hks looks super shiney. How long have you had it for? Or what do you use to keep it so clean? Mine are clean, but not shiney as yours. Do you polish/wax it with something?

Thanks for the compliments everyone. It's a work in progress so it's going to be constantly getting performance/visual upgrades along the road!
It's a 2008 Enthusiast so ya it's an HR.
It's brand new that's why lol. I'd like to polish it in the future though to keep it shiny.

Well I thought they would be fine and they are perfectly lined up. I used some grease to hold them in place while I lined up the test pipes. But when I cold start the car anything after 4K+ Rpm it sounds like the gasket is like ringing. Like a bell. After the car warms up it goes away which again I assumed that since it's hotter the seal expanded etc... I have some new ones on order and I'll see if it was infact the oem donut gasket or something else.
When I took that picture it was on for less than 2 weeks haha. But when I do clean it I use that Clean Glass window cleaner stuff with a microfiber towel. It helps to get rid of the water spots that are left on it when it heats up and dries after a wash.
Yup! I did BOTH of them at the same time. I like the sound and it is pretty raspy. There is a metallic clinking sound at about 4k+ RPM when the car is cold started but after awhile it goes away when the car is warmer. Which also leads me to wanting to change the stock metal donut gasket. Low RPMS 1k-3.5K sounds AMAZING. In my opinion though it sounds different from outside and inside the cabin. I can try to get a vid for you this weekend.

Hey you finally got yours too!! Looks great on the PPW. Did you put your TP's on at the same time you did the HKS? How do you like the sound so far? Any raspiness or metallic clicking sounds? I'm leaning toward berk tp's myself since they're so much cheaper then HFC's. Do you have any vids of your setup yet? I'd love to hear it with the TP's on.
I wonder if that oem donut gasket is the culprit for that metallic clinking noise. It would make sense because some of the vids I've seen with berk TP's/HKS sound awesome with no clinking and very little rasp. Then others have the clinking and raspiness that sounds just awful. Definitely let us know when you change out that oem gasket and if it makes the difference. And yeah vids would be awesome! Just glad to see you got yours.

Doubt it will affect the rasp but I do think that it will fix the metallic clinking/ringing noise. Placed the order for the gaskets earlier this week and I'll install em once I get them in. I am dreading pulling those cat bolts again though
Sorry to Hi Jack your thread too OP.

Where you at in Houston? We have a nice core group on the SE side (Pasadena,Kemah,Clear Lake) and we get together a lot for Tech days and shows in Kemah on Saturday nights. I'm just now getting back with the group, but if you're interested in anything let me know!
