Default Pathfinder Plenum

Just curious, has anyone tried bolting an '01 Pathfinder plenum onto a 350? I mean, they're both VQ35DE's so theoretically... I just hadn't heard anything about it, but then again I didn't search.

Why the Pathfinder plenum? Even if it fits, theoretically, is it better than the Z??

i have a pathfinder with a vq35, the z revs much better. Just check with a parts dept. Cross reference the part #'s, if they are the same then you have an answer.

The part numbers are different and the plenum doesn't really have anything to do with the rev speed. Not really.

Just looking at it, it dosen't have that huge kink like the Z's does, that's all that made me consider it.

If you all want your Z to rev better why not just get an 8lb flywheel?

Because my Z is about 9 inches long, 3 inches high, and says Hot Wheels on the bottom.

Now we are talking guys - maybe I'll paya visit to the dealership and cc the thing real quick so we know if there are differences.....

8 lbs flywheel - loads of revs, not so nice from a dead stop though

hrmm... not so accurate there im glad to say

no matter what RPM you are at with this wheel in you rev rite up to the red line. in first gear you basicly have to start shifting before the needle hits 5500 rpm or you will hit the rev limiter.

rite now with the "rally clutch" on the 8lb flywheel you cant do a normal start from a dead stop you have to get to the point of chirping the tires and nailing it.

once we have the street clutches in (eta 2-3 weeks max) it will be more along the lines of the nismo clutch feel but with more response.

the same acceleration / fast revving will be experienced.

What's the clamp load on this.

Try to get them to do the street set with the sprung disk (preferabbly full radius as well) and it will not be as on/off feeling...will also be loads easier on the tranny.

I know it is going to be a sprung disk set up. They are developing it now so once we know all the info on the street clutch I will post it. Its hard to say what the clamp load will be for the street clutch because it has not been release yet. (unfortunatly)
