Has anyone ever done this? I'm curious how it sounds. I have ART Pipes and Magnaflow X-pipe, fyi. How much louder would you guys imagine the car would get under normal driving conditions without the muffler? Post videos if you've ever done this and have either test pipes, HFCs, or ART Pipes.

 

Haha I've been waiting for someone else to try this, I did it to mine a few months ago I have resonated test pipes and the magnaflow x pipe. With just the rear muffler removed it's wickedly loud and the drone inside the car is borderline unbearable but at WOT it sounds AMAZING, like I couldn't stop revving the **** out of it amazing lol. I drove with it like that for like two weeks and actually got use to it so I went to a muffler shop and had them run two 2 1/4" pipes out the back. With the pipes on it made it a little quieter and reduced a lot of the drone but it still sounds sick. I had my borla exhaust on for about 4 years before trying the mod and I'm thinking about putting my muffler back on pretty soon but I'll probably hold on to the pipes and throw them back on next time I go to the track, or till I get bored again.

I'd rather hear some sound clips. Haha. Since ART Pipes are quiet, I wonder if it'll drone as bad as you say.

 

I'll get pics and a sound clip when I get my car back. I suppose it's not that loud to other people, I just prefer a more subtle exhaust tone so it was a little much for me. I might even dyno it with and without just for kicks because from what i understand power is made at the y-pipe so beyond that the most flow possible is ideal. I'll keep you posted.
