Default Heat shield

This is not a step by step but is a diy idea to what you can do with about $2 dollars worth of scrap metal, a band saw and a welder. My intake kit was a cold air but I removed the down pipe because I was tired of not driving when the ground is wet. Total time for building this was about half an hour.

nice it a good idea next time use them $2 to clean your engine bay

Yes well I live in a shamefully dusty town. I have better ways to spend time than cleaning every day.

at least get a leaf blower and dust it off a little. i thought the heat shield was actually going to cover the whole filter but i guess not. kinda looks like the jwt shield

Can you show pics of the filter installed, i'm still trying to figure out what YOUR heatshield actually does.
