Default Will these exhaust components work?

Hey guys,

So I recently bought an aam single with aam y to mate with my 2.5inch test pipes. So from the headers it would be 2.5 tp, 2.5 y to 3inch. Flows well. But I recently came across another single which is only a 2.5 inch diameter. I was wondering if the inlet of the 2.5 inch y, and the outlet of the 3inch y would work okay with the 2.5 inch muffler? Would it create rasp or anything? Don't really mind hp decrease, but just don't want rasp. I know when the diameters flow, there is no rasp. Thanks.

Just installed the aam at my friends place. Its not obnoxiously loud, but still pretty loud. I have test pipes installed along with the 3 inch single, and its STILL not as loud as when I had stock cats with agency power lol.

True, cause I'm still running stock cats and ypipe and it makes my Buddys greddy ti-c dual with headers and test pipes sound like stock, haha.

^^lol I know. I had a silencer on my aam single, and decided to start it up today without the silencer. I was expecting a loud boom on start up like the agency, and was slightly disappointed haha. I did however start the car up with just tp's while installing my exhaust. Such a deep and loud growl, it sounded so bad a$$.
