Default Exhaust rattle quick fix

Hi guys, i searched and davidv recommended heat wrap to fix the exhaust rattle, but that is kind of too expensive for me.

I was wondering if there's any reliable alternatives for fixing exhaust rattle? Basically, there's 2 rattles that i know of.

1st one is the midpipe hitting the X brace, so i have to fit something in between.

2nd is the heat shield hitting my art pipes. the space between the two is so little that only a thin sheet of paper can fit unlike the clearance between the midpipe and x brace.

I was thinking about a rubber grommet in between the midpip and x brace, and wire it around the mid pipe... what do you guys think?

as for the test pipe rattle, i have no clue...

please help

Depending on what type of rubber you use, it may or may not melt. I know they make some pretty high temp rubber so that's a possibility. As for the wire, if that itself isn't adhered to the item in which you want to stop rattling, it will rattle at certain rpm's. I had wire holding my exhaust on my winter beater and that rattles ALOT. But you can try what ever you want. It's your car.

Where is your rattle coming from?
If it is the mid section of your undercarriage it should be the heat shield or brace.
I would recommend you take off your brace. I really see no purpose for it. Take the bolts and tighten them down so your heat shield wont rattle mayb. Good Luck

its coming from midpipe hitting the black brace like i mentioned. i dont want to remove the brace as its a big piece and is there for rigidity.

the other location is the driver side test pipes hitting the heat shield. it's literally a few milimeters away from the heat shield.

if i use heat wrap, are they self adhesive? how would i attach it to the pipes? is there some sort of heat tape that can withstand high temperature? i also heard about clamps... like these?
