Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has these paired together? Thinking of getting the Agency Power exhaust (Good Price) and I am just wondering if I would lose gains as opposed to getting a TDX exhaust. Also some input on how loud it would be would help since I live in LA n there is a grip of cops tryna pull somebody over.

 

just ordered that exhaust for my nismo today also but from the clips i seen i know it sounds bad *** with the berk hfc so the test pipes shouldnt be much diff

I dont have the ART pipes bc im contemplating way to much on what route i want to go with my car. Anyways I have AP+Helix tps and its not only the sexiest sound i have ever heard/owned its loud as FCK!!

 

shouldnt the fact that the ART Pipes are resonated make a difference? I am sure they are quieter than most test pipes.

 

its not a matter of the being quite, its that they clean up the rasp that usually goes with normal test pipes.

 

i'll be installing my art pipes today i already have the AP but im leaving the facory y pipe, so we'll see how loud it'll be..

I have the exact same setup.. AP and Helix Test Pipes... I agree, it sounds amazing but it's LOUD!!!

I actually added a long 3" resonator to it as well. Took down the volume a bit for daily driving and smoothed out the raspyness quite a bit. It was a good improvement.

I think the ART Test pipes would be an AWESOME addition to an AP single. I'm actually considering buying them if there is any money left after my Vortech build

 

Relative to regular test pipes, the ART pipes are a lot quieter and reduce rasp/drone.

They are even a little quieter than HFC's.

 

So what about performance wise, any input on what kind of gains this would make good or bad as opposed to going with the MD TDX? I originally wanted to get the MD TDX, but it seems like a lot to spend on an exhaust for me right now which is why I am considering the AP. I do have performance and sound on my mind though and I am willing to go the TDX route if I think its worth it money wise vs gains/sound difference

 

True dual exhausts dont make more power then singles, at least on an NA application. Just go with what you like sound wise. Plus single is a lot lighter.

 

ok cool, so the fact that I have art pipes + dual cold air intakes wont make a difference as far as releasing more air flow and power with a single as opposed to true dual

ok so i got the art pipes and aam ypipe matted to my ap single and the sound is great but not awesome. i guess i just had my hopes up too high... it's very LOUD, btw.

The only reason why I ha nt upgraded my helix tps for art pipes is bc the sound. Art is quieter then hfc. I would love to squeeze extra hp and tq out of my car. However I CAN'T give up my sound

 

dude, its loud! but i think it sounded better with stock cats and ypipe believe it or not. im still getting used to the raspyness and high pitched sound though.. it might grow on me. what exhaust do you run? ap? if so post a vid of current setup. please

 

A TDX doesn't dyno much more than a straight through single Shockwave exhaust.
I don't know if this is any different than the AP though. Does it have a portion of its mid pipe flattened out?

i just received my MD spacer(Thx Tony) and have a date set for march 3rd to get tuned by CIN Motorsports. I WILL make a vid this sunday so i can post the diff with/without a MD spacer.

If your setup is AS loud as mine then it would def b worth me getting ART pipes. My exhaust just sounds so deep and raw. thats the only words i know for it. Dropping my car off today at Discount tire and co worker/buddy was in front of me i flew past him on the hwy at like 100 and he said it sounded like a indy car or a bike with straight pipes
