Isn't this thread off track? The original post asked which hi-flow cats are best. I see a lot of people posting about the Random Tech cats and how they're better than stock or comparable to Test pipes without the smell.

What I do not see is comparison/rankings against other Hi-Flow Cat replacements.

I'd like this information because if I see that the RT cats are all that, I would be willing to swap out my Crawford Cats... if the numbers are close, I wouldn't bother.

Can we get this thread back on course so it is less of an advertisement for Random Tech/Performance Nissan and more of an informative comparison of the different parts on the market?

On my personal car I gained 8HP all across the RPM range.

here are the numbers for the RT cats, would you have dyno numbers for the crawfords?

i believe ultimate racing makes cats but i have not seen any numbers for that either.

No, at this time, I do not have numbers for the Crawfords... which is why I'm following this thread.

If we get some in the near future, I will contribute that information here.

Here are my opinions:

In summary, the LBMS testpipes w/resonator was my choice. And, I remain happy.

I would buy either the LBMS highflow cats or Random highflow cats as a second choice because both have proven numbers. I think Random has a CARB No. I don't believe the LBMS does have a CARB No. However, the quality of the LBMS is superior in terms of the welds and overall finished product. LBMS does custom hand made products very well.

Dumb question....who's "LBMS"?

Also, bang for the buck, are hi-flow cats a better option than exhaust? I mean, if you had to do one or the other, would you go for the cats?

I'm too old for a loud exhast this thread has got me thinking of doing hi flow cats instead. SLight increase in sound, better power results, right?

what does anyone think about the Espirit Titanium Hi flow cat? It seems it's cheaper than RT though. It's listed in Bulletproof website.

The borla true dual is not that loud. i have it and I also do not want a loud car and the borla is not. Also a nice power gain but now I want more which is, the best hi flow cat performance wise but something that will not make the car any louder than it already is. (a little is ok)

To all who responded to this thread, ....thank

and Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night....

I have the RT cats and am very pleased with them. Not a lot louder, but deeper and more mellow sound combined with the Borla headers and Borla dual exhaust. Good additional hp gains as well. I would do it again.

Default I've been seriously thinking RT

...but these Ultimate racing high flows also look good....maybe a wee bit more restrictive with the ceramic insulation inside....but also quieter and excellent Build quality.

any thoughts on this???

Okay, i'll be the first to admit it. I recently bot the Kinetix cats via gb on this site. They weigh maybe 3# each vs stocks which feel like 7-10# monstrosities each. They are my only exhaust mod thus far, and although the exhaust sound is definitely louder, with the factory mufflers the sound is great and not overly loud. I always thought the factory exhaust system's sound was too quiet, but with these cats, its just right. Can't comment on hp cuz i had my pulley and cats installed at same time, but with these two mods, butt dyno is well pleased!
ps: $360 shipped!!!
