Default Is this a real HKS?

Guy doesn't know and said he will give me a good deal on it. I searched around all I could find is that they have different mounting for the mufflers. But I couldn't figure out which is which. If someone that might know better could chime in it would be greatly appreciated.

I can't till from that picture. One way is to check and see if the tips are real titanium or just burnt steel.

look and see if the resonator on the rear muffler sections is one piece or if the caps are welded on.

measure the diameter. 2.5 = fake, 2.25 = real.

Either way, looks beat.

Yea it is beat but for $150 it would be worth it even for just the mufflers if they are real. Sucks it's about a 2hr drive so I can't just go look at it.

As stated above, the muffler canister caps should be welded on. From the pic it doesn't look like it. Get some better picks. Also, highly unlikely your getting an authentic for $150, even in that condition.

He said it does say HKS on it. But I really have a feeling he's lying. I think he said someone left it in his garage or something. Might be stolen or something. Seems very fishy. I asked if it came of a Z or G35 and he said he didn't know "probably a G35".

Would it say HKS on the tip?

HKS exhausts for the 350z do not have any lettering, engraving or stickers that say HKS on them.

G35 has extensions, like some really short 6" or so straight pipes. If the exhaust has them they can be left off to fit a 350z.

Sounds like a sketch seller. Replica in that kind of shape is not worth 150. Spend a bit extra to get a new one.

Someone just left it............means its either stolen or worthless.

That's what I was thinking but I figured I'd see if there was any definite answers. Thanks for the help.
