Hey guys, so i recently was given a JWT popcharger as a used gift, only problem is i didnt get the heat shield!
I've had it on for a couple days and haven't really felt any bogging or "heat soak" related issues yet, but im sort of freaking out because i just don't want to deal with heat soak.
In your opinions, do you think heat wrapping the actual z tube would help prevent heat soak a bit? Is there a place where i can order JUST a heat shield? Are there any other methods of avoiding heat soaking issues?
On the same note, would heat wrapping high temp parts such as the headers, cats, and exhaust help anything? I know it will decrease engine temps a bit, but will there be any gains? I've read that heat wrapping will lessen the density of exhaust gases, thus making it easier for them to escape...
just some questions from a Z noob. Any help is appreciated

You can order just the heat-shield and mounting pieces here:

Further, heat wrapping everything will do little to nothing. It will give you minuscule to no HP gains. I would not waste the money, time, or effort.

Also, would the heat wrap help cut down rasp by increasing the resonant frequency required to create rasp? Like how DynaMat is used to stop rattles? Sorry if it seems like a dumb question but I heard a G35 coupe with headers, test pipes, and cat back that was wrapped from the header flange all the way to the rear mufflers, and had zero rasp and the throatiest exhaust sound I've heard from a VQ.
