AAM spacer specific questions
Got this off Cr-List.
The AAM Plenum spacer does not use spacers on the 6 bolts in the middle section on the plenum top. Motordyne and Skunk2 do.
Is the AAM worth installing and how does one not crack or distort the cast top. As the middle section bolts are tightened they now will not seat on the plenum bottom...
How does this make any sense? AAM does have 6 o-ring washers that I guess are supposed to prevent manifold air leaks...

if the top is raised ~ .5" so will these 6 posts...and they will not seat???

Honestly man, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I suggest rewording your above statement. I would be glad to help if I could comprehend your writing.
What he is asking is if it is same to install a .5" spacer that doesnt have any spacers for the 6 center bolts. If you do put spacers on those 6 bolts you may have a stress issue in the stock plenum casting when you tq it down.
THX Cux350z..you got it.
I was looking to hear from folks that had this piece and and no cracking issues. THX Ruthless18x- it sounds like you have this and it has worked for you.
If companies such as Mototdyne and Skunkwerks...use 6 center spacers for their spacer kits to support the 6 cast plenum posts it is a big red flag for me that Aam (with their less than stellar reputation) would not use these.
Admittedly, these would be difficult to make since the "angle" is now not consistent across the face of the mating surfaces.
With no center bolt support [IMO] the cast aluminum would be prone to deformation and cracking if the 6 center/middle bolts where even slightly over tightened or if too loose the plenum could (?) flex under boost or (NA ops) during intake power pressure demands.
Also, it makes sense why Aam uses 6 o-ring washers on the 6 top bolts...air/vacuum/pressure will leak through holes with out these.
