Unhappy catalytic converter problems

so about a month ago i bought a 2004 350z and it drove fine for about a month until the service light came on so i went to autozone to check codes and p0420 popped and so he said it could be the O2 sensor so i went a put it on a lift and low and behold the cat on the right isnt even the stock factory cat its some idk even know cat that def doesnt belong so now i see what is causing the problem so now idk if i should buy a stock right cat or should i got with test pipes that replace both cats i live in a state with no emissions testing so that not a problem but i dont want to drive around with a service light so the question is if i get test pipes only for replacing both cats no a full exhaust system, would it pop the SES light.

Cliff Notes:

* Bought 2004 350Z
* Service light came on
* Autozone to check codes - P0420
* Deciding on whether to buy test pipes or new right cat
* No emissions test in State - afraid of service light

Question: If I get test pipes only (without a new exhaust), would I get a CEL light?

Answer: Get Motordyne ART Pipes, or a tune after your bolt-ons (can remove CEL light).

Take the time to write sentences with punctuation, and I will take the time to reply. Deal?

We shouldn't forget the comma in there either
