Default HR Ypipe, midpipe and Muffler

I just purchased a HR Y pipe, mid pipe and muffler from an 07 Z. As I've heard good things about the HR Y pipe, I purchased the setup for $200 locally. (My car is a 2003 350z) I was wondering if the muffler from the 07 is any better than my original 03 one? I know the mid pipe is identical...

Thanks

I guess I'll just resell the midpipe and muffler. Thanks!

You know, I'm really not sure about this modification. I installed the HR Y pipe on my 03 350z and so far I have the 06 airbox with K&N drop in and a power lab 3/8 spacer (great mod) and I can't really say it's done much other than improved throttle response. I feel like it might have even lost a little bit of power up top. I have searched and searched and found dyno's on a rev-up making more power from 4000rpm to redline, I have seen people saying it improves low end torque which this other dyno proved otherwise and still others say they have dyno'd and actually lost power. I read a review where someone with a revup said the HR y pipe made the car fall flat on its face at upper rpm. Is there any new info out there in regards to the issue? I am debating whether I should take it off. I'm going to the drag strip Friday, maybe that will answer my question..

Well, the newer y-pipe is an improvement, but it's still crap

Pretty much any aftermarket pipe will be better, mandrel bends and smooth merge point. Now it turns out the point at which it merges is important for power/torque development as well.
Short version, i bought the XYZ pipe for the best combo benefits.
