thats cool you'll be testing it vs other strut braces...though in terms of the overall design, the stock one blows away anything else currently offered by the aftermarket

Very Cool.... put me in for "interested in a plastic top plenum"
G35 Coupe here... so a plain black plenum sounds great!
Quick Question though... Will we (G35 owners) be able to put the engine cover back onto the plenum?

Uber nice guys!
For your FI plenum, instead of aluminum... what about dry carbon fiber? Low heat soak, light weight, a bit exotic, but a lil pricey.
I agree, leave it plain black plastic with no logo, ppl will end up painting it to match the other stuff under their hood.

Ok heres the million dollar question: Assuming we can retain the OEM strut bar w/ the plastic plenum, is your planned design going to allow as much flow increase as the current crawford plenum? With the crawford you have to remove the strut bar because they raise the plenum clearence all the way to the hood. Im interested in what kind of design you have in mind.
Stock plenum= 30% difference in air flow from front the rear cylinders.
Crawford plenum= 5%
Lsdunique plenum (plastic)= ?????
PS. put me on the interested list.

I don't think there will ever be 100% even flow from front to back, since the air comes in from the front (thottle body) and not from the middle... but 5% difference is pretty good!

Yes, the design will maximize the flow to the front cylinders while keeping the strut bar. Hopefully we will get as close to 5% as possible, or even closer. By using plastic, we can make our design and use of space as EFFICIENT as possible. Closely hugging the strut bar and the actual thickness of the plenum will be less as it passes under and around the strut bar, while maintaining a comlpletely smooth path for the air to travel.
We are confident we can get the same performance, while keeping the strut bar. This is a top priority with this plenum.

any new updates? has the r&d begun, or is it still in the planning stages? any updates would be appreciated, 'cause if this falls through i'm probably gonna go with crawford.

As a courtesy I *HAVE* to tell you I jacked your Enter the Dragon back hand fight sequence. I studied Ji-jitsu and Shotokan combined (the Japanese style "Bolo" used) since I was 17. I know the movie by heart and now own the Anniversery DVD.

What would it take to relocate the throttle body way over there? Just a longer wire or is it more involved? Also, any ramifications of having the MAF pretty much right next to the throttle body as obviously the intake tract will be quite short. Also, how does this integrate into/over the radiator?
