Default Plenum spacer on revup

This is probably a stupid question but I've heard mixed things on plenum spacers for the revup motors. Some say all you need is the spacer to add the extra hp while others have said you need the mrev2 for it to even do anything. So my question is: If I buy a spacer not only which should I buy (name brand matter?) and do I need an mrev2 or anything else for it to add hp? Thanks.

I would recommend getting the Mrev2 with the 5/16 spacer. That's what I got and am extremely happy with the combined results.

This is clearly covered in the Top 100 FAQ:

https://my350z.com/forum/2487452-post8.html

There are more than enough vendors to choose for plenum spacers, Motordyne of course being the most popular

Also, if you would have searched you would have also found this thread:
