We also have another set of runners and the intake manifold that has the same ceramic coating.
We will do all this when we get time.
We didtn get a chance to monitor the temps before...but on the long runs the car def did not fall off in power like it had before. The car stayed very consistant between the first lap and the last.....three hours later.

I wrapped my Injen and it dropped the intake temp 15 degrees.

BTW- you get enough wrap to do two- so if you have a buddy with CAI you can split the cost.
I insulated my air duct after finding the temperature on the underside of the duct, near the throttle body, was 190F. Until now, I hadn't considered insulating the MAF Sensor... but that's where the engine air temp is measured.

intake wrap DOES help
I agree.

exhaust wrap hurts
In this matter, either myself, basic physics, and Thermo-tec are wrong, or you are wrong. You're being rude about it too, when other people are only trying to help and have a discussion.

Read about the benefits of shielding your exhaust manifold. One, is the reduction of heat in the engine compartment, which helps lower fatigue of a host of parts. The other, is increased exhaust flow, because hotter molecules flow exponentially faster than cooler ones.

DaveO,

What product did you use to insulate the top tube? It looks pretty good.

I said that wrapping headers does help, as it lowers underhood temps, but as far as wrapping the cat-back exhaust, it hurts...

guess I did come off as a bit rude, and my apologies for that- i've been in this discussion before countless times in numerous forums (including this one before), and just get a little caught up in the moment. No offense intended to anyone.
