ok i know this has prolly been broguht up before but i can not find a thread for it. Im buying headers this weekend anyone find an easy way to install them without having to pull the motor? it doesnt look like i have enough room to do it in the car. Any help would be great! Thanks!!

Not trying to talk you out of them or anything, but I've only been here a short time and have seen countless posts all agreeing that headers did absolutely nothing for the Z. I have yet to see a post defending them.

 

Haven't pulled my motor yet, first set of headers were DC shorties and I just installed PPE longube headers last week.

 

What brand are you getting? As Terrasmak mention it's easy if you have the tools/time/mechanically inched to see the job through.

Headers are a pain install hence the bad jojo surround them...

 

either megan shortys or ppe long tube not sure yet. im keeping it n/a so which one would be better?

 

Geez,how many times is this header stuff gonna come up.
Not worth the money and effort unless you are FI.
I've got Nismo headers on my NA Z,useless.
Don't know why but on a car with like a small block Ford,
slap on some headers,pretty easy job.OK results.
Not so with a Z.

 

That s one hell of a range, the low low end to high end

 

yeah, the megan shortys i can get from my buddy for cheap but idk if i want to get them if the long tube will be better im up in the air right now

 

I wouldn't waste my time with the Megan headers, at least go with a set of DC shorties. PPE headers are great, but you need supporting mods to get your money's worth out the them.

I do have a set of DC's for sale, the add will be posted tomorrow if they don't sell locally

 

Just get the Megan's and put the car on a lift. Should be about a 20-30 min job per side.
