Default motordyne exhaust availability

Does anyone else find it ridiculous that any motordyne exhaust that is put up for sale is sold within the hour. Id love to find myself a used Tdx2, but its basically impossible. Plus for the price of What people sell them used for, you can buy a new one for 150-250$ more. I'd love to buy a used one from someone, but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. Who else feels the same ?

I too bought brand new Motordyne TDX2 and ARTs. The feeling I got seeing the brand new parts, all nicely wrapped up, few things compare.

I'd love to buy one brand new, but my car is low and I don't wanna bust a brand new one all up. I'd feel like an idiot. I just want one soooo bad. Ive heard videos of it and it sounds good, and people say videos make it sound like **** compared to in person.

Just for clarification, what is it exactly that you're complaining about?

The fact that Motordyne products have good resale value? The fact that your car is, for some reason unbeknownst to me, too low to run the exhaust you want?

just get some BS exhaust from some muffler shop. Your car is too low to drive fast, safely, so its not like it really matters what exhaust setup you have. Just straight pipe it with a cross pipe somewhere in the middle for extra rasp. That will get you all the cool-guy points youre looking for at the parking lot.

I have the $. I'm not some poor *** punk who slammed his car to be drifter hellaflush status like these people comments above have said. I just don't want to ruin a piece of art after paying 1.5 g's for it. Hence why I want a used one.

I'm confused on how low your car is that you're seriously concerned about damaging your exhaust. Are you running super low for stance? Are you scraping your unibody/frame rails?

My frame is about 4" off the ground. Exhaust is the lowest thing on a Z, mines about 3.5" from the ground. My last aftermarket exhaust got all scraped up and crap. I just don't wanna do that to a motordyne. And as for there being no point to this thread, yes I already know that. How many other pointless threads are there on this forum.....TONS. All I wanted to see was how many people out there feel the same as I do regarding the availibility and pricing of used motordyne exhausts.

even then all the exhaust piping shouldn't be the lowest point...the stock underbraces should be...

I'm lower than you are and that's what hits first...

this part helps alot to!

in for pics

Im actually planning on selling my motordyne tdx2 installed 2 months ago...... So mad.
Got pulled over by a detective and he made me go 50 miles away to to get it inspected. The ppl there gave it full throttle and it came out to 86 decibels..... So i HAVE to go bCk to stock or i lose my registration and license.....
So it will be up for sale within a week or two. But ive never sold anything online or in person so im kinda looking for a local sale. I live in ct but i travel to warwick and east greenwich everyday. I would like offers since im going back to stock in a few days.

I waited 8 weeks for the backorder of the exhaust and for a 18yr old, it took forever to get 1585 dollars. I hate cops now..... Lol. There are fart can civics running around town without a problem but one morning i get pulled over at a stoplight..... 2 blocks from my house on my way to work for having an aftermarket exhaust...... He didnt even say it was too loud, he said it wasnt stock....
