I'm about to install one today with the invidia gemini exhaust, are you getting 50 or 60mm?

I've heard decent things, in all honesty though test pipes are test pipes, just a piece of steel tubing. Drone might become an issue, but it all depends some have it some don't all I know is that your car is definitely going to be louder!

I traded my Stillen HFC's for some invidia TP's for my 08 and the fitment on them is not that great IMO. I didnt know they made 50 or 60mm pipes though, so i have no idea what size mine are....hmm guess ill have to measure next time i take them off.

For some reason the passenger side pipe hung lower than my driver and i had to take my grinder to the flange to increase the clearance (not a big deal). It still makes the piping on my gemini TD catback hang a bit lower on the pass side though....kinda pisses me off to be honest. I will be selling or trading for some berks as soon as i get a chance.

For the record im running these with Stillen headers as well. I know its not the headers or exhaust simply because my stillen HFC's fit PERFECTLY and EVENLY...IMO i would spend the extra money and get Berks....

Its,"you get what you pay for".The major difference with test pipes that
cost twice what you paid is fitment.Berk's are excellent. However,I've
found that TP's from Z1 Motorsport(their own brand)are just as good
and have a spot on fitment.Your car will be louder.Drone means a
continual "roar" usually at a specific RPM.Can be a PIA if you do a lot
of hwy driving.I had a Borla system on another car I owned.Had to
install resonators to help kill the drone.

I bought Z1 TPs and installed them fitment was good, except the mount that keeps them from spreading. took a little bit of time with a hammer to get them right.

TPs are just tubes with flanges. Really doesn't matter who makes them. its still the same pipe length.

Fitment issues have been reported by not only myself but by others for an array of different brands. Most people would not even notice the fitment issues i experienced with my Invidia Pipes due to the fact that most people arent as low as i am, but that doesnt change the fact that there ARE fitment issues with specific brands.

I personally like the Gemini on my HR, it sounds great and i get alot of compliments on it from people. I dunno if it has anything to do with my stillen headers though, ive never heard the catback on just stock headers

Just informational. I'm not complaining about fitment issues. I expected them since its an aftermarket part. Like i said nothing a hammer and time couldn't fix.

I'm picking it up today so I'll let you know in a few hours! Also, no shop in town will install the test pipes for me, which is okay I guess, but I know removing the stock cat is going to be a PITA

Cool! Are you going to have a shop install the catback system then install the test pipes later? If so let me know how you feel about the CBE by itself.

I'm only installing the CBE for now and maybe in a few months i'll get some HFC.

Yup, they just installed the CBE. It sounds really good man, no rasp and has a real nice deep tone to it. Plus the burnt titanium tips add a nice touch to my redline z. Went WOT to it a few times and sounds real aggressive, but it's just about as quiet if not only a little louder than stock at idle. Also noticed a little more pep to it in the lower rpm range, but maybe my butt is lying to me.

Because I'm young and want a loud *** car I'm going to put in the test pipes still in a few weeks, I want it to be loud as fu-. HFC's would be good as shops in CARB states will probably put them on and they'll have the resonators so they won't sound as loud as straight pipe but will still definitely be a little louder and still have better air flow.

You got me even more pumped for Monday evening when I get my exhaust installed!!

The HFC are going to have to wait as found a small tear in my convertible top and I think it's time to just replace it. It's old (2005) faded all to hell etc...
