Default Warranty ?: Cat-Back and Headers

Prolly been asked a bunch of times but alot of meaningless posts come up when I try and run a search... SO, I'm about to start moding my Track and I'm wondering if installing the Nismo Cat-Back and Nismo Headers is gonna void my warranty, I'm assuming it will but I'd like to hear some of your ideas on it and also, those WITH the Combo, how do you like em and what kind of reception have they gotten from your dealer?

Thanks in Advance,
Joe

nismo exhaust is an s tune so I think it will not void the warranty if installed by the dealer, but the headers are R tune which will void the warranty from what I understand and I think some dealers won't even do the install on the R tune products. Not sure but hope this helps.

No part will void your warranty just by having it installed. If the dealers can prove that the catback caused your problem then it will be fixed under warranty. If the dealer can prove that the headers caused the problem, repair will not be covered under warranty. The big thing to remember is that, by law, they have to PROVE that the part in question is the undeniable cause of the problem. Even then, they cannot forever VOID your warranty. They simply deny service for the particular problem. You aren't banned from the service depts around the world or anything. You just have to pay for that particular repair.

The catback is an S-Tune product and the headers are R-Tune. You will find that all S-Tune products are covered under Nissan's warranty and R-Tunes are not.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm gonna go talk to afew local dealers and see what they have to say about installing R-Tune parts. Hopefully their cool with it, but most-likely they'll run me out of the dealership lol, nah.. thanks again tho.

we say put on as many mods as you want.. we love to see modded z's come in!

if you are in mass.. you can drive down to smithtown nissan or some mod friendly place like that, they will take care of you im sure...

but from all the cars we have installed and sold headers too... we have never once seen a problem caused by the headers...

need parts?
