Default HKS install questions

Hey everyone, I recently got a good deal on an HKS exhaust and i have. A few question. I have searched a bit and found some answer but im still a little confused so please keep the search button comments to minimum. Ok my questions are these. I plan on buying test pipes, magnaflow x pipes before installing a week or 2 away. Anyway I noticed that the HKS pipes are 2.25 in diameter but it seems lie the test pipes are 2.5" in diameter. Finally the magnaflow x pipe seems to vary from 2.25-3.0" depending what you order. How do all those different diameters work together going from 2.5-2-.25 and 2.5 again. I understand you weld the 2 together but the main concer is going from test pipes to x-pipe.

The HKS pipe dia is actually 60mm = 2.36 inches... Good thing you are going to an X pipe because the HKS H pipe is garbage...

I am getting rid of the H pipe and putting in a Magnaflow X pipe here soon... Having Dynosty do it while my car is there getting the motor installed. I went with the 10791 X pipe which is 2.5" which should be there soon... Not sure how the difference in dia will work out but went that route rather than down sizing to the 2.25...

Interested to see how it plays together...

I'll check that out, and I thought it was a little bigger then 2.25" when I measured it. Either way you are going a little larger for the x pipe then. Do you have hfc or TPs? Sorry for all the questions but figure do it right the first time.

Yeah High flow cats... I tried TP's and didn't like them, too loud and they brought the smell of gas into the cabin...

Going with Motiv HF cats.

This is the X pipe I am getting. http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/10791/10002/-1

Keeping the HKS resonators and just doing the X pipe above them... I don't want to change the tone of the HKS so I am not getting the muffled X pipe.

Should the x pipe diameter be larger then everything else's diameter? What's the diameter of the header to test pipes? I'm tryi g to order these parts today so anyone with any thoughts please chime in.
