Default Nismo Exhaust Installed

Installed it over the weekend, one of my cats has a hole in it which is why it always sounded weird you can still kinda hear it after the new exhaust.. Idk Test pipes or high flow cats next? Which is better?Any specific brand? Don't have much experience with them

I have heard not to pair the S-Tune with HFCs or TPs since it will crack the HFCs or TPs. Only reason why I still have my stock cats.

Oh man! That sucks, I guess I can either get the stock one welded maybe? Or get a new one that's crazy though not being able to pair em with it!

High flow cats = more expensive, passes emissions, not as much power, not as loud
Test pipes = cheaper, doesn't pass emissions, more power, louder/raspier usually

Power is always good but is it just a little raspy or you can really hear it?

The rasp will be enough to **** you off....and your Z will smell like a lawn mower

I'd go resonated HFC to get rid of the rasp/hiss. I got mine from fast intensions.

The smell is bad.

I took the cats off my MR2 Turbo (you actually get a noticeable HP boost in a Turbo car when you do this), and the car freaking STUNK.

I mean, like, I would park it in the garage and shut the door, and when I went out to the garage a few hours later I felt like I had to look under the car to make sure my cat hadn't gotten sucked into my engine and died.....

The smell doesn't bother me and the wife doesn't really notice it. IMHO, the smell is over exaguratted by some who have never been around or owned old muscle cars.

Smell isn't too bad. You get used to it after a few times driving it.

I don't want rasp so I am going towards the High flow cats just hope they don't break or something since its a nismo exhaust and I have read about people having problems with the hfc cracking

I have a Greddy True dual w/ Motordyne Test pipes and i really dont smell anything or have any issue with rasp. but imo motordyne ART are top of the line TP and i rarely find negative reviews on any of MotorDyne's products

So am I the only person addressing the issue of the s-tune cracking HFCs and TPs?

That is all I read on the forum when I was doing research.

I ran test pipes with my s-tune for about 4 years and never had an issue, however I never ran the s-tune y-pipe because I got a motordyne xyz pipe with resonator instead. The cracking issue most likely goes hand in hand with the s-tune y-pipe, that thing is junk
