Default Motordyne plenum spacer worth the money?

If you bought a motordyne plenum spacer, was it worth the money (for DE engine)?

From what I'm reading, the spacer is the best bang for buck performance mod you can do on a DE engine. Some even claim +15 whp.. If that's true, it's probably noticeable but is it worth the $200? Ebay has them for $185 for the basic and $205 for the isothermals with free shipping.
If it's anything like a CAI, I dont want to spend the money. A CAI or intake is "noticeable" barely. Depends on the car but the most I've ever gotten out of a CAI was louder sound and uncertainty whether the car is faster or if it sounds faster. I will however spend the money if it is noticeable.

If you expect a massive kick onto your back while pushing your gas pedal to the metal, then answer is no. But, it will help with even distribution of the air to the cylinders, which is good.

Yes to if the spacer is worth the bucks.NO if its a Motordyne.
I've driven many Z's.My car has a spacer from Z1 Motorsports.I think I paid
$125 for it.As I may have said before, plenum spacers are just pieces of metal.
Why pay for a name when you can get the same thing cheaper through a
"private label".You will not notice any "noticeable difference. You are right,
for the DE,the spacer is one of the best bang for the buck items. The other IMO is HFC's.
Be sure to get a proper tune after you slap this stuff on your car or you
will not get the right results on your investment.

I only heard of Motordyne and Blox plenum spacers but I'll check out the Z1 Motorsports. That or I can always wait around to see if there's one in good condition on CL, I'm not in a hurry to get it now.
Sounds like a good mod then. I've heard mixed results about HFC, only reason I'm hesitant to mess with this is because I live in CA. But will look into this also.

Looks like Z1 motorsports spacer is now $169 + shipping.

OP, how have you been on the forum as long as you have with as many posts and still don't know that this is a proven bang-for-the-buck mod?

I honestly was expecting to see a person with a Join date of this month but one of your date is puzzling

I've had the Motordyne twice, I'm not totally sure about the others but the cool thing about the Motordyne is that the gaskets are bonded/built in to the spacer so there is no need to use extra gaskets. I have always thought that to be more relaible against leaks.

Hey! I'm 10 years behind alright?? hahaha back in 04 I was but a high school kid dreaming of owning the 40,000 car. That's where my 1000 posts come from haha!
I forgot everything.. let's just say all I remember from 2004 was tire feathering was a big issue and no one could figure out how to get rid of it.
I've only owned my Z for a few months now so I'm rediscovering everything again.
You could even say I was in the Z community so long I've forgotten more than most people have learned.

Hm I guess motordyne it is, I really dont want to mess with gaskets they're always a headache what with the possibility of leaks and all. Eh $190 for the basic motordyne kit ain't too bad. Probably pick this up in a month or two. Also want a popcharger and leather seat covers.

I have the z1 angled spacer and works perfectly fine for me. Dont have to worry about leaks if installed/ torqued correctly

Just ordered the z1, got it on the Black Friday sale for 106 shipped. Design is the same and as the last post said a gasket will work correctly if it's installed correctly.

Fair enough, just get the Motordyne and you won't be sorry
