I think i saw it posted before, i don't know if it was ever solved or not, but i can't seem to find the thread about it.

My heatshield rattles at certain RPMs, i guess it's hitting something (i know, save your captain obvious comments).

What i want to know is how to fix this or if any of you have experienced the same thing.

Best thing to do is take the heat shield off. You should be able to see just where it's making cotact with nearby metal because there will be some light scuffing. Install a little felt square over that spot. After that you should be fine.

And make sure to take a picture because I'll be installing my heat shield Wednesday.

will do. It was not as hard as people said it was, i was making a detailed installation guide but half-way i was like f* this, since i had to wash my hand after every step just to take the picture (i don't want my camera to get dirty )

But i will take some anyways.

 

yea don't put anything that will burn though, or you may get a little bit of a smell. A tiny piece of heat wrap tape would work a bit better than anything that is rubber or felt.

I forgot we were talking about a heat shield.
