with that, i'm really really loud, even for a track car only. I hit over 95 db on the track and the limit is 94 db at my track. Insi de the car the sound is beautiful, but loud as hell !

So, with PPE, it will too loud for the street...

My actual setup is close to 97 dB at full throttle.... After a day of track, my ears are bleeding ^^

The final silencer on the Injen SES 1987TT are really tight, and since i have no other silencer in the exhaust (except the Kinetix HFC, if we can say there are little silencers).

I track my car a lot, let say it's the main utilization of the car.

Most of the tracks i pratice are limited to 100 dB, but one is at 95dB but i never had problems with my setup.

If i'm near 95-96dB with the setup i mentionned, i'm okay with it.

Do you know of much decidel your car is doing at full throttle ?

For what i hear on your vids, it's i think louder than mine...And i'm 97dB....

But Trapu says that he's only 95dB with Megan racing long tube headers... but perhaps it's because he has the Motordyne XYZ with resonator, which seems to lower the sound.

I think i will buy the resonator and the straight pipe in spare parts from motordyne.

Do you know why they never answer to contact forms ? I emailed them 2 times and never got answers

Had 3 black flags for noise last year. Had to put my ''plug'' im my muffler...but it was like removing 30 whp with it...

here an idea of a lot muffler on the track....that was before cams and higher rev.

What you cant see...is the traffic in front of me

i don't know the decibel level unfortunately. it is def loud as fawk though. and it will surely be even louder with the longtubes.

Great

So you're 95dB at stactic 4500 rpm or full throttle ? How is measured the volume ? is that with a micro about 50cm from the exhaust with a certain angle (45° if i remenber well) ?

Thanks

Longtubes will be louder

Both are pretty much the same up to 3500rpm. Then it's a complete distinction between the two to wide open throttle

Static at ±3250 rpm is border line for a 92 db...

On track, i'm between 95-102 db but i usually short shift my 4th gear before the micro.....but they move it sometimes around the track and if i'm over 6 000 rpm, i'm busted !

a bit better with the resonator...

95 or 102 dB is completely different...102 dB is 4.5 times louder than 95dB...how is there so much difference between your measurments ?

I know that there a really big diffence.

Sound check at 30-40 feets behind

±92-93 db at 3500 rpm

On track, full throttle

between 94 db and 100 db (over 6000 rpm) depend of weather.

Do you have measurments with the resonator in place on your XYZ ?

I don't have the straight section for my XYZ pipe yet , but with that section, holy crap it is loud with my single shockwave exhaust. I probably blow the sound check at Laguna Seca while on track at Willow.
