Be careful revving the motor up when it's still cold.

I just keep revs under 2800rpms or so until the Engine is warm.

It will say invidia high performance on the exhaust tips. I looked at my cars exhaust tips again. I don't think you have the invidia after looking again. Maybe you have the tsudo .

Its justa generic exhaust from ebay most likely

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FOR-03-07-NISSAN-350Z-FAIRLADY-INFINITI-G35-4-EXHAUST-DUAL-TIP-CATBACK-SYSTEM/231153220892?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27675%26meid%3Dfca65e4e9a38484b9ce9adbaa12bf309%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D161212427195&rt=nc
Anything else would have markings on the tips or muffler

Hmm okay, im still determined to get up there under there soon and stare at teh damn thing until i can find some form of markings..

ALSO: Not sure what you guys collectively think of the Reddit 350z crowd, but one of those guys is trying to tell me my car is a mut.. he says the body is not 06+ updates and is saying that since my red line is at 6500 vs 7k it has the DE motor in it VS what it should have(in his opinion) the rev up motor..

From what I understand the 06 autos still had the DE motor, and the 06 manuals got introduced that year with the Rev up motor..

Also I cant tell these damn things apart exterior wise.. They literally all look the same to me from 03-06! lol.

Someone chime in!!! ^

This is what the guy has to say for himself..

Auto or manual is going to have the same motor. 07 and 08 had the HR, 05 and 06 should have the Rev up. 03 and 04 has the DE with a 6.5 red line. Tachometer should reflect this Try checking the door sticker or running the Vin again
Did the Vin say it was an '06? The tach is showing the red line of a 03/04 and the tail lights look '05 and below
I have the HIDs and LED taillights.. i cant tell the rest though.. I gotta stop letting stupid stuff like this bother me but i need closure!

heres a couple of pics incase some of ya'll missed the earlier ones.

I'm just razzin' about your feet.

As far as I know, the AT never had the rev-up. Your redline should be at 6700 (NOT 6500 like he was trying to tell you), which yours is.

The rev-up was used in 2005 in the 35AE and Track model, and 2006 in all other 6MT models.

I really hate how some people spew out incorrect information on the internet.

the rest of the body looks 06+ right?

What are those subtle differences between 03/04 and the 06's? When did the new revisions start?

PS: the one day when i did rev the motor up, it seemed like the rpm needle when past the 6,700 mark? is the normal? Could it be tuned?

Head lights, tail lights, and interior is slightly different. I believe the changes happened in 2005.

I never rev that high when there is no load on the engine. If you get it on the road and hit redline, it should cut off at about 6800-7000.

It could be tuned, but they wouldn't do anything substantial for catback alone...

Thought the bumpers and hood etc were slightly changed

And lol if it cuts off at 7k rpms then why is the red line 6700?!

Anyway to tell if it has a tune? Guessing it'd be pretty hard to tell, never driven any other 350z.

They may be slightly different, not to an extent that I have really noticed though

Mine cuts at ~6800-6850.
Most simple explanation: 6700 is where the rev limiter kicks in, it takes time for the computer to see the car has hit redline, in this time you can go slightly past.

Again, I would never rev that high without a load on the motor.

Cars should not be discussed on reddit, full of noobs

Yes you have a 2006, no it's not a revup (which is not a bad thing)
