I would recommend test pipes if you're looking for an inexpensive way to amplify your exhaust note. I installed a set of Kinetix racing pipes just this week and I absolutely love it. My Gemini was a bit too subtle for me, but now it's absolutely amazing. It's loud but without the rasp and the pipes haven't thrown a CEL (yet). But most importantly, car is near silent when idling/out of gear. That was the main concern because I don't want to be too heaty at night. Now I have the option of being quiet.

Only thing that really bothers me are the fumes emitting from the exhaust. Let me tell you, it is ghastly. Makes me very light headed. Obviously this isn't an issue while driving but the smell travels into the cabin while I'm idling.

that is when you do like i had to back in my paramedic days when we ran on a dead body.... put vicks vaporub under your nose when you drive
