Default Outflow Air

Haven't done anything to my car yet, but I'm planning on adding an intake, carbon fiber cutout, 5/16 plenum spacer and then a tune. Will I need an aftermarket exhaust to get sufficient outflow air? Are there any alternatives? The stock one is pretty big already. If I do need one, which would attract the least attention? I drive an 03 touring model.

Don't except any real gains, and that hole in your bumper will just look silly.

How many miles on your car and have you done all major maintenance? changed out all fluids, spark plugs, decent tires? Do that first if you haven't done any of it. You won't get much out of bolt ons with an NA DE motor.

92k Miles. Fluids are good I haven't done spark plugs yet. Snow tires are going on right now along with sandbags in the back because of the foot of snow we just got in NJ. I would put bolt ons and different tires during the summer. Why won't I get much from the bolt ons with the DE motor? From what I've heard there's about 20-25 whp you can get out of it. I'm not trying to do anything crazy.

To get 20-25 whp you will need just about every bolt on an then a tune. You will get more from the tune than the bolt ons. You don't need an intake, just use a K&N filter. A hole in your bumper with no FI = ghey. Spacer, cats, exhaust and a tune. If it you want to improve the car suspension and sway bars
