Default AAM Single Exit Hangers?

Hey guys, I just got an AAM 3 inch Single Exit exhaust and I'm trying to figure out if my exhaust was built out of spec or if the exhaust shop I took my car to is just clueless. They bolted everything up and told me the middle of the pipe was resting on the crossmember, and the tip was touching the bumper, and that they couldn't do anything else until the owner came in the next day. Then today I get a call and apparently they just bent the exhaust until it sort of kind of fit, but the tip is poking out really far from the bumper and I just don't have a good feeling about it. Anyone with the AAM Single Exit please chime in, did you buy different hangers to fix any fitment issues or did you bolt it up with the stock hangers no problem? Before buying I did research and didn't find anyone having any fitment issues but maybe I missed some threads, idk.

Maybe this is just how the exhaust is supposed to look, but the shop was acting really weird about it and idk, just thought id see what everyone else's experience was with AAM's. Thanks!

Hey man, I have the same exhaust with the same problem of it sticking out far. I thought it was because I have a Megan Racing Y-Pipe (which is awful) but maybe this is normal..? Mine does not sit on the sit on the cross-member though.

Thanks for the feedback man! Btw those wheels with that color is amazing haha but yeah honestly I'm thinking about having a shop just cut an inch or so of the tip off, mine was dented in shipping anyway and it just looks terrible. I'm not sure if my car has the stock Y Pipe or the Nismo Y Pipe, but either way its poking that tip out like 2-3 inches past the bumper. Good to see I'm not the only one though. I guess I'll have to just order some shorter and longer hangers and mix and match to see if I can get it hung right. Anyone know what length the stock hangers are or am I gonna just have to measure mine? lol

I had an AAM at one point and will say I think you are correct about it sticking out too far. Mine was about half an inch shorter as a whole. Theres that issue and also the cross member contact mentioned by JRSport018. Would you by any chance be able to get your car on a lift and take a pic of the whole exhaust as it sits? Also try to get the detail on the area that was "bent" if you can find it. That might have a lot to do with why it fits weird

Yeah I don't have access to a lift unfortunately. However I did the bumper tuck today and it looks a lot better after that. Still pokes out of course but it seems livable now. It looked horrible before lol
