Default SES light after catback install ??

I installed an Invidia Gemini system on my '07 roadster and now after about 100 miles the SES light came on...

Got it scanned.. The codes are..

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold
P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

Have NO leaks.. everything else is stock 'cept for the catback.. 99,000 miles on the car...

Is it worth throwing 02 sensors at it or is it actually time to replace the cats ?

THANKS !

Doug

I put o2 spacers on it.. codes went away for a day or two..

SES light is back on now...

Am I going to have to get it tuned to get rid of the codes ?

you said catback

headers -> cats -> y-pipe -> mid-pipe -> muffler

so that means you didn't touch the OEM cats?

could be your cat is going. doesn't say whether it is sensor 1 or 2 (upstream/header or downstream/cat oxygen sensor)

bank 2 is the left hand side

*edit: or if the light turned on right after you installed the catback, maybe there's a leak at the left hand cat to y-pipe flange?
