If it sounds like a Subaru, you should probably check for misfires... More likely sounds like a trumpet through a megaphone

4 inch is way too much pipe for a basic Z with just an intake, the motor does not flow that much exhaust gas after combustion with just that.

That would probably sound goofy and echo all over. Mines a 2.5 after the y. To a flow thru muffler. To a 4" Stainless blast pipe

Noo. Weekend fun car (no track). Got a truck for daily. I'm gonna be putting a similar exhaust on my 2jz/w58sc300 aswell. Because racecar.

Braap pipe on stock exhaust sounds quite good actually, loud but good.

No. It has the rumble similar to what you here on many modified ej20/25 flat 4 boxer engines.. most the Z's I hear with Injen/invidia etc dont quite have that low rumble. Man mine sounds great in the rpms too. It is illegally loud if i get on it at all. But still not the decipals of some of the piped challengers I've heard.
