Legit MRev2 ?
I bought an MRev2 here in the marketplace a long time ago...probably years. I'm finally doing some work on the Z, mainly repairing or replacing the valve covers. So I'm taking the opportunity to replace my lower plenum.
I pulled it today. Oil everywhere, which was not unexpected. But what did surprise me was the shape of the lower collector and and the runners. mine looks pretty similar the the one that I bought, with the exception on the material on the "top" of the two front runners. so this has me wondering, did I buy a legit MRev2?
Pics of the original from my car (2005 Performance - regular DE) and my MRev2 attached

Motordyne did a sneaky trick to protect their intake from being copied. You'll notice there is a photo of a plenum of some sort on their website with just the two forward runners trimmed on the top...and a price tag of $627!!!
Something isn't right with that.
The truth is the folks at Motordyne do a lot more work to the plenum than just that, but they won't show actual product pictures for fear of being copied. You want to be sure it's an MREV2? Buy it direct from Motordyne. Assume everyone else is a scam.

Yeah uh......I also wasn’t about to pay the inflated retail for basically modified stock manifold. I got the DE lower collector from local salvage for $30, & put machining work on it myself. Installed in my revup it performs pretty good. But I guess 600bucks is reflected on their grinding labor on a part you can pick up used cheap?
