Default Injen Cold Air Induction

Has everyone that purchased this product had to create their own water diverter or do you just drive on dry days?

I have had my INJEN on now for over 12,000 miles. I drive my Z every day UNLESS there is snow or ice. I have driven through some SERIOUS downpours and have never had any trouble. I even drove all the way from New Orleans to PA and over 90 percent of the trip it was raining, sometimes REALLY hard.

I do take caer to NOT drive through any deep STANDING water, and if I have to drive through any puddles I make sure I do so at LOW RPM. Personally, I can't see how any water is going to make it through the filter and all the way up the intake pipe into the engine.

I wouldn't be worried about water getting into the motor so much as water soaking the filter. Right now I have taken the elbow off on mine until I can figure out a way to block some of the water off the filter. I may do a grill like the Stillen to help block some water. I have a few other ideas too we'll see.
Thanks Mike

this issue is so over emphasized its sick. A water divider is a 100% guarantee that you wont suck water into your engine. To do so, you need to soak the entire filter in water, so that no air can get sucked in, only water. This means the entire filter, including the back portion closer to the engine. I have the stillen grille for no other reason than looks, but that aids as well because it means even less of a chance of sucking water into the engine. I drive it like i would with the stock airbox. I avoid puddles, but hard rains and washing it with a power washer are not a problem.
