I do agree, it's not age it's experience and from reading VQ's endless statement of supposed "facts" in his posts, it's painfully evident he has no experience. If you don't believe me, take a few minutes and read through his posts. Every time someone says anything bad about any aftermarket manufacturer, VQ's response is always the same; "Well then you must not know XYZ company they make the best blah blah blah's in the world!" It's amazing that you have owned parts from all of these companies and know everything about them.

Even if the exhaust is 20lbs lighter, if it loses 3 HP or more you have just made your power/weight ratio worse and your car slower and you are $3K poorer. Lucky you.

The "reset your ECU" myth is what every aftermarket "performance part" manufacturer tells the poor saps they just robbed when they discover on the dyno they have lost power with that very expensive mod.

Why believe any dyno now?? The item was being offered for sale when the seller's only first hand info was that it lost power. That info was conveniently never passed along. If you don't see the ethical problem there, I don't know what to tell you.

You got it wrong. Whole lot of the $3k goes straight to the pocket of the guy selling the thing on ebay.

WOW, this is a rather spirited debate you guys got going here. Personally, i'm just happy to be able to afford the Z as is... right off the truck.

I know this adds no value to the thread but, what the heck I thought I would throw my 2 pennies in.

I can understand the price for an enthusiest. It's really a one of a kind exhaust specific to the Z. I can see someone getting it o show their social status, while improving their looks, losing weight, better sound, and a little more performance. If all you want, is to go really fast, for little money, I don't think you should be in the market for a Z. Granted, it is a good bang for your buck the Z is, but if you probably not the bst choice for a tuner car. It would be a fun tuner car, if you have a lot of money, hence the $3K exhaust system. I doubt there will be a whole lot of people, porting their Z's heads, swapping cams, getting aftermarket headers, forced induction, N20, etc etc.

Danimsta, in my case, Your statement is wrong.

I bought it before I like it. I would put anything on to test it as long as it doesn't screw up my car a lot.... My 350Z is a experiment rat (no offence, with a respect.) for people here, hehehe.

I am a kind of person try anything before I doubt or blame it. That's how I have been starting new biz here and there.

Off the topic of thread, but on the topic of titanium...

Useless fact... the SR-71 Blackbird (that famous black sleek looking spy plane) airframe is built almost entirely from titanium and titanium alloys to better withstand Mach 3 heat. At the time of manufacture the leading exporter of titanium was Russia. Ironically when we purchased the titanium from them little did they know the metal was going to manufacture an aircraft designed to spy on them.

Anyways. Just thought that was a cool factoid.

Come on you guys, whether a $3K exhaust is worth it is all a matter of perspective. When you were a kid and got $5 a week allowance, buying a Coke for $1 was a big deal. Now that you make enough money to buy a $30K car, spending a buck is easy. You don't even think about it.

Most of us here are not millionaires, but if you were, would $3K to spend on something really be a big deal to you? I don't know this about Tako, but I'm assuming he has quite a bit of cash in order to afford all the excellent cars he has. I applaud his installation of the outrageous Fujitsubo exhaust. I think it's really cool. Anyone with that exhaust definitely has something exclusive and cool.

If I could, I would buy it. Maybe next year.
