Default Anyone with Nismo S-tune Air Filter (not CAI)

I need a picture of it. Or better yet, I would like to know if it says made in Canada on the end. If you care to know why, read on....

I took my car in for a 15,000 mile service, and when I got it back I noticed that my fairly new Nismo Air Element had been replaced. I had asked that it not be replaced and I noticed I was charged for a new one that night. When I looked I saw that a Nissan filter had been installed.

When I called the next morning, the service writer told me that they replaced it because "it looked like a cheap paper filter." He said they had the filter they pulled out of my car, but it had oil all over it from the trash can. So, I went back to get it, and it looks similar to the Nismo, it is white with a black surround. But it says made in Canada on the end of the white filter part and it has wire mesh on one side. I thought the Nismo had plastic mesh, and I don't recall it saying made in Canada.

Either the ripped off my Nismo, or they destoyed it with oil, either way I am pissed.

If someone can help me out, I would greatly appriciate....

If interested the dealership is in Dallas (Richardson), it is Courtesy Nissan.

let me check now....

Okay..... I am sure that you have got ripped off/lied to!!!

I got my filter from Jason at Performance Nissan... and just checked with my filter. It has the PLASTIC (silver) mesh instead of the wire mesh. And it does not say where the filter is made on either side of the filter. I thnk you should do some "Action" now!

I don't have my camera here at work, so cannot help you out there.

cheers,

richie

A question for you two --
Do you honestly notice any difference in power when using the Air Element filter?
