Injen Super SES exhaust (1985c)
#61
The new Injen exhaust is very different from my previous angle Injen exhaust. Everything from the sound to the looks. They have improved several different areas of the exhaust.
1. Looks a lot better to me.
2. The droning sound at highway speeds is no longer there!! This totally took me by surprise. I had become used to the droning and for a second there, thought I might have lost some power until i hit the gas. No doubt that it is a much more refined sound.
3. They added a brace at the rear before the mufflers that has the SES emblem on it. Looks very sharp. The exhaust is held in place a lot better with the brace. All it does is holds the two seperate pipes together and they no longer move around like my angled Injen exhaust did.
4. They also added braided steel flex joints at the ver begin of the exhaust which I believe accounts for the lack of vibration I have now. My old system caused a great deal of vibration felt in the stick and pedals that I never noticed until I replaced it with this exhaust. I guess that I had become so used to the vibration that I thought it was normal.
Overall, I would say that I am extremely pleased with the new exhaust and do prefer much more than my old version. I have included pics of the new changes that I have noticed.

If you can't get one from Injen, I would think it'd be pretty easy to make one..Piece of thick metal, and two drilled holes.

Injen makes a straight tip exhaust system for the g35c. The sound is very similar. You can hear the clip on the g35 at www.ingen.com .I wouldnt recommend trying to bolt on a straight tip exhaust system from a 350z on a g35 though.
