Ok, ummm....I only heard the exhaust from in the car, but I just had my roomate drive it while I stood outside. WOW. Best sound I've ever heard from an import besides a BOV whoosh lol. Sounds simply insane. Video to come by this weekend FULL write up, you guys will have to wait for the issue on ActiveTuning's site.

But wow, it sounds sooo sooo good.

Looks awesome Dave! How's it sound? Inside the car and out? I just went from an '02 Mustang GT convertible to the '04 Touring model and do miss that V8 Mustang sound (I had Flowmasters on her). I know I'm not going to capture that Mustang sound with the Z, no matter what I put on her. But...I'm looking for something a little throatier than stock. I'm hoping this is it. I like the Injen setup better than anything else I've looked at online so far...gives us the details please...and the video!

OK Dave. You beat my post. Glad it sounds as good as it looks. Looking forward to your article. btw, I had my tint done at the same place in Elkridge that you did based on your first article...thanks for the recommendation.

Well like you said, it's definitely no Mustang, but damn does it sound nice, inside and even better out. It's probably the throatiest exhaust I've ever heard on an import, so I'm giving it 2.5 thumbs up...seriously....it sounds that good IMO.

I'll try my best to have the video edited and uploaded by Sunday at latest...possibly even tomorrow. I'll have plenty of angles and drive by's etc in the video. Also, as any exhaust, I'm sure it will get a bit louder over time.

Bullit, where in MD are you? You're more than welcome to come and check out the exhaust for yourself. Just let me know.

I live in Odenton. We've got to be close if you used the Elkridge shop for your tint. But, I'm curious about the NJ plates. Are you military?

Bullit, yeah you are probably about 45 min from you or so. PM me and I'll give you my address, you can put it in Mapquest and see what is for sure. I used to go to Bowie all the time. I'll be going to Capitol one of these upcoming Wed. or Fri to see how the new exhaust does. I go to UMBC, but am from NJ, hence the NJ tags. Insurance is cheaper (somehow), and no cops will bug me about no front tag/tint in MD with NJ tags....so I decided to keep it.

350zbiturbo,

That is an unbeatable price, believe me. I do FEEL a performance gain, but it also sounds faster, so that could be it as well. For a true test, we'll have to see what the dyno tells. I need probably 2-3 weeks to get the ECU adjusted to the exhaust, and then I'll go in for the dyno. Injen got 12.9rwhp from a bone stock Z to just the exhaust with a 5th gear run...so that seems like a pretty good run...we'll see how mine compares. Although I have an intake and grounding kit...but I also have dyno's with each part (except the grounding kit).

hey bullit i got the price from a local shop called racehype in my area, i went to another shop called tav racing in my area and they wanted 850 shipped and i was surprised and happy to hear it and i told my friend and he went to find out the next day i got a call saying they can get it for me for 829 shipped no hidden charges no crap(reason he said no hidden charges no crap is bc ive heard this shop giving tax right when you go to buy it but i went in to find out for myself and it was true), ok so thats performance is good, but i am 19 and i used to drive a wrx with a really loud exhaust i consider the 350z a classy car, and i dont want a loud annoying exhaust that my g/f is gna start to hate and then me too, also i dont want any tickets seeing as how i pay for this car myself, what do you think is it annoying loud or will the g/f approve???

Are you sure they aren't charging tax? Since the shop is local, they should be required to charge you state tax...whatever that is in FL. Unless the $829 price includes that, but I don't see how considering I would assume their price is not much lower than that.

Vendors for this Injen exhaust aren't supposed to sell this item below a specified price....

Based on what somebody else said, he said the angled tip did not have that, and he thinks it has something to do with taking out the rattling issues that the 1st version had. I haven't had any rattling, so maybe that's it...
