CAI - name brands vs. no-name
Ebay has numerous Cold Air Intakes (new) listed by various aftermarket dealers. They look fine and many of them even have dyno charts with various claims for increased performance.
Are there any differences other than aesthetics when compared to the name brands like Nismo, Injen, AEM, Stillen, etc. These no-names are as low as $40 or $50 (buy it now price) whereas all the name brands are $250 - $300. I'll agree the name brands look much sharper, but I don't really care much about that.
Has anybody installed one of these no-name brands and found it to be absolutely crap and then later replaced with a name brand or vice-versa, has anybody used these no-name brands and found them to work as expected.

I installed a no name on another car, had a few problems with fitment, but finally I got it right. This kit was the CAI. For the price I would go for it, and if it doesnt work use the stock one again.
I also had to buy a few extra clamps, the ones with the kit were not all that great.

they also carry the no name brands at your local auto parts store though they are more of a universal fitment size you got to make it work. they are basically the same thing as the aftermarket at less quality. but its very hard to make gains over the stock intake and youd liley lose power with a no name intake

Anybody have experience with www.optionracing.com?
they sell a CAI for 350Z for $42. They're a power seller on ebay with 98% positive feedback.

I've bought a ton of stuff for various cars including several intakes from them, they have excellent communication and shipping is very fast. Also a very high quality product. I'd recommend them.
